Who do I contact to get stop signs installed?
Stop Signs can be a very effective tool in controlling traffic flow. Conversely, a stop sign placed at an inappropriate location can result in an increase in rates of accidents. There are specific guidelines that must be met before a stop sign can be installed. These guidelines have been developed by the Federal Highway Administration during decades of analysis and research. This will require some research which we are more than happy to do. Ultimately, the board of police commissioners is the final decision maker to install a stop sign.
