What is the best way to make payment?

You may pay all taxes in person by coming to the Tax Collector’s office in Town Hall at 611 Old Post Road during regular office hours. You may also mail your payment to: Tax Collector, PO Box 638, Fairfield, CT 06824. You must bring or mail the appropriate tax bill stub for the period being paid. This stub is validated and kept on file to provide an audit trail should any question regarding payment arise in the future. Failure to bring the stub with you, or to send in the tax stub by mail, will result in a $2.00 charge for the preparation of a replacement bill. You may also pay your taxes online by visiting http://fairfieldct.org/content/10726/11014/16448.aspx. If taxes are paid online using the Town website, no payment stub is required.
